Project developer Germany
We currently have a team working full time on the development of ground mounted solar projects in The Netherlands, France and Germany and given our growth we are looking for an associate project developer (2-4 year relevant working experience) to be based in our Hamburg office to strengthen the team in Germany.
Position
The scope of this role will include:
• Assisting in or leading the development of renewable energy projects
• Drafting contracts for co-development, land lease, PPAs, etc.
• Sub-contracting and supervising technical advisors
• Ensuring bankability of all permits, consents and contracts of the project
• Applying for permits, feed-in tariffs and/or power purchase agreements
• Assisting in Sunvest’s commercial efforts regarding project development work
You would report to the project development Director Germany and the investment committee of Sunvest. On individual projects you would be an integral part of our development team and work with the project manager and the project partner. As Sunvest is an international organisation working in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France, your ability and willingness to travel and spend time abroad is a requirement.
You would be part of a unified and close-knit senior team which prides itself on its transparency and proactivity. More generally, the position entails active participation in a young, international and dynamic team focused on making projects happen.
Required education and attributes
The candidate should have at master degree in economics, science or a similar relevant qualification.
In addition, the candidate should demonstrate:
• At least a basic understanding of – and interest in – financial concepts and products
• At least a basic technical understanding of the working of solar energy
• At least a basic understanding of the legal and commercial aspects of project contracts
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) in German and English
• Experience in using MS Office software, in particular Excel and Word
• Experience in project development or contracting
• Experience with organizing the grid capacity
• Knowledge of technical software like PVSyst is a plus
• Thoroughness, accuracy and organisational skills
• An ability to take initiatives and take responsibility for allocated tasks
Package
This position is offered on a fixed 12 months term starting as soon as practicable, with a competitive compensation package. If conditions permit it, it would be our intention to offer a permanent position to the candidate following the initial 12 months period. The candidate can expect opportunities to travel to visit partners and to participate in regular team building activities.
